Our meal, Chez Gianni, Sivergues

This is our "little" lunch at Chez Gianni. Carol and Harvey discovered a website written by a delightful French woman, called Chocolate and Zucchini. It is a delight to read. She lived in the US for some years and writes in a clear, humorous, effortless English. She had a hilarious adventure here and got us all interested enough to try it last year and return this year.

The plate consists of a lovely green salad with croutons covered with a tapanade, an assortment of goat cheeses from freshly made that day to quite old and hard. That little bowl is the best lavender honey you can get. Underneath is a sort of country prosciutto that is chewy and rich. Accompanied by a nice red wine and a decent Rose that was decent until it reached 80f on a hot day.
