Saignon

Two gates, Saignon or Weese's 3rd law of composition

 I have been taking pictures of the gate above for years. Today I remembered Carl Weese's advice that when you find a good picture, turn 180 degrees and you will often find another. Thus the picture below, that has been across the road all these years and was never noticed.

As part of the recent work, replacing all of the underground pipes in the village, a couple of beautiful old walls were completely rebuilt. The stonework is beautiful and the original top stones were kept.
