Resurrection ferns, Magnolia, Garden

Magic ferns, they dry up and look dead until a soaking rain, then, overnight, turn into green lush ferns, for a week or so.

Nandina berries, Garden

Nandina, or Heavenly Bamboo, is considered invasive but this plant hasn't spread in 29 years.

Azaleas, garden

A great year for them

Azaleas, garden.

We had a short but intense display of azaleas this spring.

The babies.

For the last year or so we have had a resident rabbit. She comes to eat the seeds that the chickadees and titmice throw off the feeders.  Lat September there were a pair, a one eyed male and her. Theses are the first kids we have seen. They chase each other all over our yard.

Winter Daturas, garden

This is from February, the depth of our very short very shallow Winter. Soon will come the green.
