Hummingbird magnet, Roscoe
This will be of interest to people who read TOP with Michael Johnston. About two months ago he had a history of the Pentax 50mm f/1.4 lens. He allowed as how it was commissioned to compete with the best Zeiss lens of the day and succeeded beyond expectations. I found one on eBay for $49.00 and ordered it and an adaptor so I could use it on my micro 4/3 cameras. It becomes the equivalent of a 100mm lens. It is beautiful. As Mike suggested, it evokes the look of color in those days (I'm thinking the 70s and 80s) and is still more than acceptably sharp. I have devoted an old Olympus E-M5 to holding it. The bush is called a Firecracker shrub. Very invasive.
