The Saignon dilemma.
As I have told people since our return, it is hard to conceive of a small town, three blocks by one and a half blocks, on top of a hill, population 400, having five good places to eat. Saignon does. We ate our lunches in other towns and either cooked or made reservations at one of these places. We were sitting at Christine's, which is open for breakfast and lunch, looking across the street at Balthazar, which is open for lunch and dinner, and serves very good locally grown food. Ahhhh...the choices.
