Pavillon de Vendome, Aix
This is a fascinating building.. It was built by the Duke of Vendome in 1665. It was a "country" house, built solely to house his mistress. He lived about four blocks away. The woman's name was La Belle de Canet. The columns are in order Ionic, Doric and Corinthian. My guess is that the Duke's wife was onto him.
