Beck and Walter on Pont Julien

This is an old Roman bridge the the French had used as a traffic bridge for years, thus the asphalt. They moved the road and restored the supports and now it is a place to go to have a picnic and imagine how long it has stood and all of the traffic it has seen. Walter wanted to see a chariot....no such luck.

Lunch at Cafe de la Poste, Goult

 We had a great meal here. Years ago it was an inexpensive bistro, selling the French version of pub grub. With the gentrification of Goult, it has evolved into a really good restaurant. Three of us had the tagliatelle with foie gras, I had the Salade de la Poste, not pictured due to a bad focus), and we all had the lovely rose.

Goult cemetary

 This is landscaping by Lewis Carroll. For the last 4 visits these trees have been between prunings. This year we got lucky. They hardly look like trees.

Weeds and Walter

Reminded me a bit of the old Alfred Hitchcock opening.

Cat, Apt

I think somebody took a perfectly good tabby and dipped it in bleach. Odd coloring.

Path, Rousillon

You have to really clean your shoes after this walk. These are pigments and do not come out of clothing.

Sort of a French flag;-}

Waiting, Rousillon

This woman did not really want to be on this walk and found the first bench and anchored herself to it. She missed a lot, see below.

Into the ocher pits, Roussillon

It's a different world down here with only about six colors to deal with.
